The Boxing girls of Dighwara

It is necessary for girls to know the housework because girls should stay indoors, but if you think like this, then you will become a punching bag and will get punches one after the other, because the girls in Dighwara in Bihar, have knocked out this thought from the society.

Dighwara:-

Dighwara is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in the Saran district, state of Bihar, India. The name probably derives from 'Dirgh-dwar', literally "large gate", as Dighwara is claimed to be the entrance to the mythological city of king Daksha.
Weather: 6 °C, Wind E at 0 km/h, 100% Humidity
Population: 32,741 (2011)
Hotels: 3-star averaging ₹3,339

40kms from Patna is boxing club called RJS where 40 to 50 brave girls sweat every day in the boxing ring, Their goal is to win a gold medal for India, These girls are very confident of their punches and powerful Priyanka and strong Versha have already started the process of winning medals and why not? their inspiration is of that type.

Priyanka and Varsha are only two of the 13 girls currently being trained at the RJS Boxing Club in Dighwara.

The club itself is unlike other professional training clubs found in urban India. It is situated inside a college campus with a makeshift boxing ring constructed of bricks, sand, and cement. But the girls dedicatedly practice here for two hours every day.
The admission fee at the club is Rs. 300, and the monthly fee is Rs. 100. However, training is free for those who cannot afford it.

Priyanka won the silver medal in Junior National Boxing Championship

Varsha also won the Bronze Medal in Junior National Boxing Championship

In the 2012 Olympics, Mary Kom becomes India's first female boxer to win the Bronze Medal.

There is no lack of effort and hard work only if your training is solid will you be able to punch hard.

These supercharged girls do not pity themselves they don't leave any opportunity to get strong that's why their coach Dheeraj is so proud of them and whenever these boxers got an opportunity to win a medal by winning the medal in the ring they made their coach, family and village very proud.

Boxing in this village was started by Priyanka's elder sister who always wanted to show the strength of the girls of her village to the world.

To improve the society you have to start from your house so he started with Priyanka and Varsha. They won the medal and in 2009 were the first boxers in Bihar's history.

The club was started in 2009 by Roshan Singh and Dheeraj Kant – two friends and sports enthusiasts who are black belt holders in martial arts. Dheeraj, who completed his B.Sc. (IT) course in software engineering from NIIT, had taken up a job that did no interest him much. So he decided to quit and start coaching. Roshan worked in a school named Shakti Shanti Academy as a physical education teacher.
Priyanka was a student of Class 7 when the club was taking shape. A group of 8-10 girls from her school began by learning Taekwondo and slowly moved on to boxing under coach Roshan. But girls would join the sport and then drop out because their parents did not approve of boxing.

In Dighwara girls from all ages entered the ring and they all have ambitions to make it big in the boxing world.
The girls of this village have changed the thinking of the entire village.
The families once we're in the hurry to get their girls married now wait to send them into the boxing rings and once they enter the ring, they have the habit to knock out their opponent.
  • Dighwara is India's first village to promote boxing among girls.
  • Priyanka and Varsha are the first female boxers from Bihar to win the National Championships.
  • Priyanka was titled "The Most Promising Boxer" in Junior Women's National Boxing Championship.
