India has 43 Thousand industries which produce 19 thousand kilos of waste per day. But one person recycles this waste.


Dr. Binish Desai is Known as the Recycle man of India.

Binish Desai is an Indian environmentalist, innovator and social activist from Gujarat. He is known as Waste Warrior and Recycle Man of India for recycling more than 917 tonnes of industrial waste.
 Dr. Binish Desai is a Padma Shri nominee 2018. He is the founder of Eco-Eclectic Technologies.

He started the lab in 2016 in Valsad, Gujarat which converts different types of waste into eco-innovation. They are now making roads out of textile waste and the waste coming out of metal industries.
India produces around 15 million tonnes of paper waste every year, out of which only 26% is recycled.
Along with making eco-friendly products he also created employment for unskilled women from the villages by establishing eco-light studios.

Dr. Binish has 150+ eco-products under the Eco-Eclectic Technologies.


Basically, eco-light studios is a way of empowering women. They make clocks, lights, Home decor.
Every lamp they are making they are helping to recycle at least 7 kgs of waste.

Dr. Binish has recycled more than 800 tonnes of industrial waste in the last 2 years. 
So far Dr. Binish's recycling efforts have reduced carbon emissions by 1300 metric tonnes.


HOW THE BRICKS ARE MADE WHICH ARE USED FOR MAKING FOOTPATHS:-
  • Firstly the waste is mixed with binder along with chewing gum. Then it is kept for 6-7 hours
  • Then we mould into specific moulds 
  • Then they are naturally dried and then the bricks are ready.

The Bricks made form paper are not only used for making roads but also for making Toilets, Houses and Schools.

FEATURES:-
  • The construction cost goes down by 40%. Because bricks are twice the size and half the price.
  • This brick starts at just 2 rupees which is half the price of regular brick.
  • They are also more strong than regular bricks.
  • They are light weight.
  • Bricks made with industrial waste have a life span of 80 years.
